Satisfactory Academic Progress
Satisfactory academic progress is comprised of three areas.
A student must:

-
Complete their diploma or certificate within a specified period.
-
Demonstrate they are making progress towards the completion of their diploma or certificate by earning a minimum number of credit hours each semester.
-
Achieve a GPA that is consistent with meeting the graduation requirement of 2.0.
This policy on satisfactory academic progress relates to all students who apply for and/or receive Orthodox Patriarchal Catechetical School of America scholarships and grants.
Be advised that the criteria for many grants and other forms of tuition assistance programs on academic progress may differ from the federal regulations.

Students may be suspended if they fail to meet satisfactory academic progress (SAP) financial aid standards set by the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, or academic standards set by OPCSA.
Withdrawal/Leave of Absence
Unofficial Withdrawals
At the end of the semester, the Office of Financial Aid is notified of any student who did not complete any classes for which he/she was registered. Students who cease to attend and do not earn any credit for the term are considered unofficial withdrawals.

Institutional Aid Recipients
Institutional aid is disbursed to a student’s account after he/she incurs 100% tuition liability. This usually occurs after the fourth week of the semester. If a student withdraws or takes a leave of absence, all institutional aid is returned.
